Description
The proposed addition to the West Elk Wilderness is located along Highway 50 on the shores of Blue Mesa Reservoir. The most stunning topographical feature is the volcanic breccia towers of the Dillon Pinnacles, where a gentle hike offers a serene cathedral atmosphere, bounded on one side by the pinnacles and the other by the expanse of Blue Mesa Lake.
